It's back and it's going to be as cold as ever! The Times FM and Silverdale Medical Swim to Win for 2010! Mark the 8th of August in your diary now and be down at Orewa Beach, we'll all be in the water 11am, so take a dive to raise funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and you'll be in the running for a trip for two to the Queenstown Winter Festival for 2011 – thanks to House of Travel Orewa and Browns Bay plus a kayak worth $1699 from Johnsons Outdoors Watercraft! The Times FM’s annual swim to win at Orewa Beach on the 8th of August, thanks to Silverdale Medical, they’ve got the community at Heart! To be in the running for these great prizes, just make a gold coin donation to the Westpac Rescue Chopper, get a little wet and hang around for the prize draw and you could win! The Westpac Chopper is going to be there - so make sure you dig deep and help this very worthy cause - they do a lot for our great District.
Carla Illingsworth entered their bed into the draw and their bed was announced as the 'Deadest Bed in Rodney'. While the Illingsworth's received a brand new bed from Kevin and the Team at Beds R Us Warkworth (worth over $3000), their bed went to the Wyatt Haulage yard in Warkworth where the lads from Pyro Company Fireworks gave it an explosive send off!
Postcard to Paradise winners
Suzanne and Dean Fitzsimmons of Kaipara Hills, with the number 2111 on their postcard, managed to crack the safe to find tickets for two to Fiji including a 4 day/3night cruise around the Fiji Islands with Blue Lagoon Cruises – with $500 spending money too!
Suzanne said that they’ve never won anything as significant as this in their lives, and they’re looking forward to taking a holiday away from their 5 kids!
